Digital transformation in special education

TPM meeting Erasmus+ Project in the Netherlands!

On 19 and 20 February, we had the honor to welcome our international colleagues of our joined KA220 Erasmus+ project ‘Digital Transformation in Special Education’ (2023-1-TR01-KA220-SCH-000160579) to the Netherlands.

We facilitated this fourth meeting -a Learning, Teaching and Training (LTT) meeting- that was attended by our partners from Amasya University Faculty of Education, Merzifon Şehit Dursun Özsaraç Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Vrogoraç Primary School from Croatia, Vilnius University from Lithuania and North Macedonia International Vision University from Gostivar.

We looked at the progress of activities to be developed for our online platform, to benefit children with special needs; what steps need to be taken and what deadlines are involved.

We also provided an introductory workshop on trauma-informed teaching. We addressed the effects that negative experiences can have on behavior, learning ability and development and how we can influence these processes positively when we meet the psychological needs of children with our method of teaching.

Finally, we wanted to teach our highly valued partners something about the Netherlands, our culture, facilities and the school system.

We thank all our partners for their attendance, input and sociability and look forward to our further cooperation!
